Dear,
Just a fast note guys to make sure we have something straight… WE DONT NEED YOU. I mean yeah were not going to lie the big money contests and all the parties you guys throw for us are great but they are not necessities. See we were here long long long before you noticed us. We are kinda like the little nerdy jr high kid that grew up to be the movie star. We’d be a lot more secure in our relationship if you had paid attention to us before we were “economically viable” but whatever. Youre here now so we might as well go on this little journey together but remember WE are the ones in the drivers seat on this road trip not you. So when the day comes (and it will) when we are no longer “economically viable”, and when the day comes (and it will) when the t.v. ratings are no longer at the top, and when the day comes (and it will) when the next generation turns its nose up at us WE will still be dedicated and we dont mind solo road trips…..

Man I love me some Paul Mitchell that guys supported snowboarding all the way back to like 85. I doubt we were economically viable back then.
agreed to a point, especially with brands like Gucci and Paul Mitchell….. but most of these brands don’t take anything away from the industry, i.e they are not competing against ‘our’ brands for market share, they pay with sponsorship to be associated with how cool and ‘youth’ we are/were.
Although it seems to be against trend to say it at the moment, but are brands like New Balance, Head and the new industry darling Nike (6.0, SB whatever) not the ones who have come in to leach of the growth and take a large market slice away from core/long term companies… so is it not brands like that we don’t need??
but then again..which companies are credible anymore?? the people who have brought Volcom for $608 mill also own Gucci, YSL etc… very ‘Youth against Establishment’
